Nathan had finished rebuking David for sleeping with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife. God was displeased with David’s conduct. Nathan prophesied that the child born to David through his sin with Bathsheba would surely die. As soon as Nathan left David’s house, the child was struck with sickness. David fasted and prayed to God that the child might be saved. He lay on the floor all night. The older servants of the house tried to cheer him up but he refused to wake up. He did not eat either. He was inconsolable. After seven days, the child died. The servants did not know how to tell David because they perceived that if they told him, he might hurt himself seeing that even while the child was alive nobody could console him. David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves so he perceived that the child was dead. He asked whether the child was dead and they replied in the affirmative. David stood up from the floor. He took his bath and perfumed himself. He put on a new dress. He now went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. His servants could not understand David. They told him that while the child was sick he fasted and prayed but now that the child was dead, he had risen up and eaten food. David replied that while the child was alive, he thought he could pray to the Lord so that the Lord might save his life but now that the child is dead, there is no need to fast and pray again. Now that the child is dead, he could not bring him back to life. According to David, he could go to the baby one day but the baby could come to where he was. David consoled Bathsheba for the lost of the child.

You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day. 7 “Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14 And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”

    8a..

    Acceptance

Let us pray in acceptance that God knows better than we do what our needs are (Matthew 6:8, Romans 8:26, 2Corinthians 12:7-10).

    2 Faith

The blessing of prayer has been clearly revealed to us in the scriptures. Let us trust what they say, and pray without doubting (James 1:5-7).

    3 Persistance

In Matthew 7:7-8 the Greek carries the idea of "keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking". Jesus said we should always pray and not give up (Luke 18:1-8, 1Thessalonians 5:17, Acts 16:23-25).

    4 Right Motives

"You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures" (James 4:1-3). They were not wrong to ask, wapbase.org but their asking was wrongly motivated. Example of wrong motives, James and John (Mark 10:35-37). Example of right motives, young Solomon (1Kings 3:3-15).

    5 Harmony with God's Will

If we pray anything according to God's will he hears us and grants that prayer (1John 5:14).

When the Bible clearly reveals God's will, we have confidence in the answer. For example when we genuinely repent of sin and ask forgiveness, we know our sin is forgiven (1John 1:8-9, Acts 8:18-24, Isaiah 1:15-20, Psalms 51:1-17). When God's will in the matter is unrevealed, then we pray in the attitude, "If it be possible... nevertheless not my will but Your will be done" (Matthew 26:39). 6 Desire to Obey

Only "the prayer of a righteous man is powerful" (James 5:16). We receive from God what we ask only when we show ourselves willing and eager to keep God's commandments and do the things that please God (1John 3:22).

    7 Thanksgiving

We are to make all our requests to God with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). God loves the grateful soul. He is not much interested in whingers (Daniel 2:23, Hebrews 13:15, Colossians 4:2, Ephesians 5:20).

    3) Kufi is a male dominated society in all ramification. That is why it is filled and influenced by the feministic thought and feelings. This is seen in their position which is believed to be law and customary. They are very domineering because of their African belief. This is also seen in the way three different men compete for yaremi's hand in marriage. It is also In the number of farmers that are abound in the village since it is their major occupation Finally, they are seen everywhere an indication of their number compared to that of the female. It is indeed evident In the polygamy pattern of marriage that is often practiced by most of the men. =========================

    5) i)Identity identity is developed mostly in the scenes where Bigger prepares to face his death in the electric chair. In these final moments, Bigger must struggle to "come to terms" with what he has done and what he has become. In this regard, Bigger's identity crisis is more of a struggle to separate his own impressions from the projections of the racist society around him. Even as Bigger must accept responsibility for his crimes, he faces the complex task of asserting his own worth even as he can't ignore his crime. When Bigger is involved in the process of asserting his own worth, he finds that he is in a trap because he has been unable to act upon all of the dreams that he has. Bigger wants to define himself as an aviator or even as the leader of his gang, but these are all ultimately false. One important thing to note is that Wright's treatment of the identity theme resembles the philosophies expounded in several existentialist works. In particular, the prison scenes toward the end of the novel are intended to hearken back to the works of Wright's favorite writer, Dostoevsky. Particularly after his rejection of established religion, Bigger has the existentialist burden of searching for meaning in life without the traditional support systems offered by the church or other social structures. By the end of Native Son, it seems that Bigger is one man who is doomed to fight against the machinery of a hostile world. ==================+=====

    6) Mary Dalton, the only daughter of a wealthy capitalist in Chicago, rebels the only way she knows how: she starts dating a Communist.(We could have suggested throwing wet towels on the carpet and refusing to pick them up, but that's just us. Her attempts to break free from her family’s wealth lead her to do numerous crazy things. She wants to transcend her privileged status, but she doesn’t realize justhowprivileged she is. Like her boyfriend Jan, she’s clueless that her attempts to befriend Bigger make him feel ashamed and afraid. She's also unaware just quite how belittling she's being: When Mary gets drunk, she has no idea that she is putting Bigger into a situation where he simply can’t win. There can be no good outcome for him by taking her upstairs to her bedroom when she is drunk. Her inability to see beyond her own immediate desire to befriend Bigger suggests that, ultimately, she may be too self-focused to see outside of herself. She wants to save the world, but knows far too little about it.

1.Control account used to record the balances on a number of subsidiary accounts and to provide a cross-check on them.

uses of control account 1. Check on the accuracy 2. Location of errors 3. For internal check 4. More Simply and Quickly

C.Limitations of accounting ratio

(1) Ratios are based on accounting figures given in the financial statements. However, accounting figures are themselves subject to deficiencies, approximations, diversity in practice or even manipulation to some extent. Therefore, ratios are not very helpful in drawing reliable conclusions.

2) Ratios have inherent problem of comparability. Companies otherwise similar may employ different accounting methods, which can cause problems in comparing certain key relationships. For example, inventory turnover can be different for a company using FIFO than for the other company using LIFO method of inventory valuation.

3) Accounting ratios are not totally dependable and they must be used after giving due weight- age to general economic conditions, industry situation, position of firms within the industry, mode of operations, size of firm, diversity of product which can make the business enterprises completely dissimilar and thus affect the computation of accounting ratios. =============================

2a. Working capital is the amount of a company's current assets minus the amount of its current liabilities.

2b. Capital employed, also known as funds employed, is the total amount of capital used for the acquisition of profits. It is the value of all the assets employed in a business and can be calculated by adding fixed assets to working capital or subtracting current liabilities from total assets.

2c. A fixed asset is an item with a useful life greater than one reporting period, and which exceeds an entity's minimum capitalization limit .

2d. A current asset is cash and any other company asset that will be turning to cash within one year from the date shown in the heading of the company's balance sheet. (If a company has an operating cycle that is longer than one year, an asset that will turn to cash within the length of its operating cycle is considered to be a current asset.)

2e. The rate of stock turnover is a measure of the number of times inventory is sold or used in a time period such as a year. The equation for inventory turnover equals the cost of goods sold or net sales divided by the average inventory. ====================

3a. The accrual concept in accounting means that expenses and revenues are recorded in the period they occur, whether or not cash is involved.

3b. The business entity concept states that the transactions associated with a business must be separately recorded from those of its owners or other businesses. Doing so requires the use of separate accounting records for the organization that completely exclude the assets and liabilities of any other entity or the owner.

3c. Dual Aspect Concept, also known as Duality Principle, is a fundamental convention of accounting that necessitates the recognition of all aspects of an accounting transaction.

3d. PERIODICITY CONCEPT is the concept that each accounting period has an economic activity associated with it, and that the activity can be measured, accounted for, and reported upon.

3e. The going concern principle is the assumption that an entity will remain in business for the foreseeable future. Conversely, this means the entity will not be forced to halt operations and liquidate its assets in the near term at what may be very low fire-sale prices. ============================

4a) A company is a legal entity made up of an association of persons, be they natural, legal, or a mixture of both, for carrying on a commercial or industrial enterprise.

(NO.2) Illegal immigration is defined as the act of someone staying in a given country without the country’s official permission. This happens when one illegally enters a given country, or overstays upon expiry of a visa.

Illegal immigration poses both positive and negative effects on the illegal immigrant as well as the country of illegal immigration. One of the positive effects is that illegal immigrants end up boosting the local economy. For instance, illegal immigrants in the U.S.A. are said to have contributed around USD 300 billion to the Social Security Trust Fund. Given that illegal immigrants are not entitled to various benefits, some companies capitalize on this fact to save on labor costs. Further, illegal immigrants take up low-end jobs that do not attract locals. This helps avert a potential workforce vacuum in the lower end of the job market. It is also significant to note that most of the illegal immigrants immigrate in search of a better life abroad.

One of the negative effects of illegal immigration is the exertion of pressure on a given country’s resources. Essential social amenities like hospitals and schools can end up being overwhelmed because of users that were not planned for. Given that gidifans illegal immigrants need basic supplies like food, health services and shelter, their influx is likely to stretch the available resources. In some cases, this may end up creating a conflict between the host communities and the illegal immigrants.

Further, the illegal status of the illegal immigrants can subject them to mistreatment from the local host community. Given their legal status, immigrants find it hard to report to the police for fear of deportation. Some locals take advantage of this situation to extort and mistreat the illegal immigrants. Cases of moral and physical abuse of illegal immigrants are a common occurrence in some countries. However, they end up suffering in silence. Further still, illegal immigrants are said to exert competition on job opportunities for the locals. Some employers are keen to tap on cheap labor provided by the illegal immigrants at the expense of the locals. In conclusion, illegal immigration can take both the positive and negative dimension in terms of its consequences. From the discussion, the negative effects are more than the positive effects of illegal immigration. World governments should address the factors leading to illegal immigration and try to provide sustainable solutions at home.
