======THEORY SECTION====== 2ai ) A computer virus is a malware that , when executed, replicates by inserting copies of itself (possibly modified) into other computer programs , data files, or the boot sector of the hard drive; when this replication succeeds , the affected areas are then said to be " infected " . 2aii ) i ) Resident Viruses ii )Multipartite Viruses iii )Direct Action Viruses 2b) i ) Vulnerabilities and attacks- s a system susceptibility or flaw , and many vulnerabilities are documented in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures ( CVE ) database and vulnerability management is the cyclical practice of identifying , classifying , remediating , and mitigating vulnerabilities as they are discovered . ii )Backdoors - in a computer system , a cryptosystem or an algorithm, is any secret method of bypassing normal authentication or security controls . iii )Denial -of- service attack- are designed to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Attackers can deny service to individual victims , such as by deliberately entering a wrong password enough consecutive times to cause the victim account to be locked, or they may overload the capabilities of a machine or network and block all users at once . iv )Eavesdropping- is the act of surreptitiously listening to a private conversation, typically between hosts on a network . For instance, programs such as Carnivore and NarusInsight have been used by the FBI and NSA to eavesdrop on the systems of internet service providers . v )Privilege escalation- describes a situation where an attacker with some level of restricted access is able to , without authorization , elevate their privileges or access level. . 1ai ) Networking cables are networking hardware used to connect one network device to other network devices or to connect two or more computers to share printer, scanner etc . 1aii ) i ) Coaxial cable ii )Optical fiber cable iii )Patch cable 1b) Very Small Aperture Terminal 1ci) Difference Between Email address And Web Address. The simplest way to tell the difference is an email address always contains the ‘at sign’ (@), and a website address never does. Also, An e- mail address is a web service used to send and receive messages and web address is collection of static and dynamic web pages to perform several tasks like shopping, searching information, other govt. work purpose. 1cii) 1cii) Types Of email i)padenrizkidz@ymail.com ii)josephpadenrizkidz@gmail.com Types Of Website i)www.Padenrizkidz.blogspot.com ii)www.Padenrizkidz.heck.in

4b) Write ONE out of the Two Here… -Flash memory : An electronic non-volatile computer storage device that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed, and works without any moving parts. Examples of this are flash drives , memory cards and solid state drives. A version of this is implemented in many Apple notebooks. Optical disc : A storage medium from which data is read and written by lasers. Optical disks can store much more data — up to 6 gigabytes more than most portable magnetic media, such as floppies . There are three basic types of optical disks: CD-ROM (read-only), WORM (write-once read-many) & EO (erasable optical disks). -Magnetic Disk : A magnetic disk is a circular plate constructed of metal or plastic coated with magnetized material. Both sides of the disk are used and several disks may be stacked on one spindle with read/write heads available on each surface. Bits are stored on the magnetized surface in spots along concentric circles called tracks. Tracks are commonly divided into sections called sectors. Disk that are permanently attached and cannot be removed by the occasional user are called hard disks. A disk drive with removable disks is called a floppy disk drive. 4ci) Write 2 Out of this Optical Drives Optical drives include CD-ROM drives, CD-RW drives (“burners”), DVD-ROM drives, DVD+/-RW drives, and Blu-Ray (BD-ROM) drives. They use lasers to read and/or write data. Some optical drives combine various features; for example, there are drives that will read DVD’s as well as write CD-R’s or CD-RW’s. Unless you are planning on doing a network install, you will need at least one optical drive to install the operating system and other software on your new computer. Most optical drives available nowadays have a SATA interface. If you need an EIDE (PATA) drive, you may have a hard time finding one. On a personal note, I’ve found optical drives in general to be the least reliable of all computer hardware. They frequently break down and require replacement, even if they’re rarely used. I’ve also found there to be little difference between optical drives made by different manufacturers. My advice: Choose an OEM drive by a company you’ve heard of, but don’t waste your money on a top-of-the-line drive unless it comes with a super warranty — and then register the warranty and save the information. Chances are that you’re going to need it. Floppy Drives-: The venerable floppy drive has seen better days. Most new computers don’t even come with floppy drives any more. But I still like in
