A few days ago, we reported how the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had disclosed that about 3000 refugees were still at the Nigerian border with Cameroon following insurgency attacks in the North Eastern part of Nigeria. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) had also previously revealed that about 160,000 Nigerians had left the North East region of Nigeria to seek refuge in neighbouring countries, mainly Niger, Chad and Cameroun following the instability in Northern Nigeria.
